The location is excellent with the water across the road, parking is convenient, the building and features (but see below) are up to date, and the retention of the old castle components was part of the allure of the hotel
in an age of communications, the hotel is outside cell phone coverage which makes internet access all the more important, but the hotels internet access arrangements were broken and had been for some time. what was there was inadequate even if it was working - an area that needs to be improved!!
Staff were great. Hotel clean and tidy.
Food and drink quite exspensive.
the staff at your hotel was excellent could not do enough for you.and the food also was excellent
to put two arm chairs in room if it is a double room
Relaxed atmosphere, beautiful coast and scenery. Convenience to Belfast for a short break for us.
While we enjoyed the food generally, we found the soup to be thin and runny
I particularly enjoyed the peaceful location. We stayed on a Fri night. Even though there was a wedding reception our room was far enough away to avoid the noise of the celebrations. We awoke in the morning to the sound of the waves.
the staff are very friendly and professional. the food was excellent.the castle and gardens are picturesque
you would need transport.
Friendly helpful staff comfortable rooms relaxing ambiance
could do with update of decor in parts
Friendly and helpful staff. An excellent self-service breakfast. The function room in the Tower was very accommodating.
Minor gripe about the excessive heating throughout the hotel....a wee bit too stuffy.
The staff was wonderful; the location is great especially if taking the ferry to Scotland and the food quality is very good.
I liked the friendlyness of the staff and also the quiteness of the hotel and the surrounding area, the food was also very good.t
the hotel was very clean and well looked after and the staff were great.
There is a welcome, informal feel to this hotel as soon as you walk through the door. The rooms are spacious and bright and very clean. The situation, just a road-width away from the Antrim coastline, is worth the visit alone.
Restaurant is ok but choice not great and staff a little inexperienced and unwilling to come forward to take orders for food and drink.
Very good it ticked all the boxes
Good food nice views room nice to.
Very scenic setting overlooking the sea and mountains/gardens at the back. Try to find time to wander around the Hotel gardens, which were very quiet and spiritual when I was there. The staff are exceleent, the food is truly delicious and very well presented. I cannot fault this hotel.
The Hotel was lovely quiet and peaceful with beautiful gardens to the rear of the Hotel and seaviews to the front. The Hotel had its own resident Ghost in the Tower of the Castle which was quite interesting their buffett style breakfast was nice and had a wide variety to choose from.
Although the buffet style breakfast was nice it could have been a bit warmer and on the second morning of entering the breakfast room there were no members of staff around to take your tea or coffee order unlike the morning before they all seemed to be too busy chatting amongst themselves in the kitchen to look to see if any guests had arrived for their breakfast.
Lovely room number 204. Good food. Relaxed atmosphere.
We would like the soup to be thicker!
